HUTCHMED reports positive Phase III lung cancer trial results
HUTCHMED reported encouraging results from a global phase III study of ORPATHYS® (savolitinib) in combination with AstraZeneca’s TAGRISSO® (osimertinib) in specified patients with non-small cell lung cancer, showing significant improvements in both progression-free survival and overall survival in those patients. The study is the first global Phase III trial to demonstrate survival benefits for this patient group, offering fresh hope where treatment options have been limited. With approval in China and temporary authorisation in Switzerland for specified patients, the encouraging results from this global trial marks another important step towards bringing a biomarker-directed, all-oral treatment option to patients worldwide.
